YWCA LAKE COUNTY INVITES YOU TO
“TAP INTO YOUR JUICE”
On September 29,
Amy S.
Hilliard, founder, president and CEO of ComfortCake Company, LLC,
and author of Tap Into Your Juice – Find Your Gifts, Lose Your
Fears, and Build Your Dreams, will present the luncheon keynote
address at the 5th Annual YWCA Circle of Women
fundraiser. The luncheon will be held at the
Crowne Plaza North Shore,
510 E. Route 83 in Mundelein at noon, preceded by a mega networking
event which begins at 11 a.m.
Ms. Hilliard’s personal passion for sharing the message of Tap
Into Your Juice comes from having energized her own endeavors
through her own Personal Power Sources. Elizabeth Forbrich,
Executive Director of YWCA Lake County stated, “Ms. Hilliard is an
outstanding role model for kicking her dream into action.” Forbrich
continued, “Her accomplishments are inspirational to us all as we
continue our mission to eliminate racism and empower women.”
Michelle Obama, corporate vice president and attorney, summarized
“Tap Into Your Juice” by stating that Hilliard’s “Power Ps” can help
anyone turn on the light that’s already within.
In January 2001, Hilliard started The ComfortCake Company LLC. –
makers of “poundcake so good it feels like a hug.” Two years
later, the U.S. Department of Commerce named ComfortCake the 2003
Emerging Minority Enterprise of the Year. Hilliard has recently been
featured on the Food Network, CNN and the Home Shopping Network.
The presenting
sponsor for the luncheon is American Family Insurance, other
corporate partners include: U.S. Bank, Allstate Insurance, and
Walgreens.

YWCA Lake County
has dramatically changed the lives of Lake County women and their
